Key Responsibilities:

1.       Microsoft Systems Administration: Oversee the administration of Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and SharePoint. Ensure the stability, security, and performance of these systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2.       Third-Party Systems Administration: Manage the administration of third-party applications and systems critical to our business operations. This may include ERP systems, CRM systems, collaboration tools, cybersecurity solutions, and other specialised software. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to optimise system configurations, resolve issues, and implement upgrades.

3.       Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet our business needs. Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

4.       Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff. Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

5.       Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to develop IT strategies, roadmaps, and budgets aligned with business objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.

6.       Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect our organisation's data and systems from cyber threats and regulatory compliance requirements. Stay current on industry best practices and emerging threats to continually enhance our security posture.

7.       Project Management: Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinate resources, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

8.       Technical Support: Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide hands-on support as needed. Collaborate with the IT support team to ensure timely resolution of user requests and incidents while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
